We are sending you the telegram from New York on the instruction of Comrade Kalugin (PGU):

 

The publication of one of the oldest newspapers of the Lithuanian nationalist organizations ‘Keleivis’ in Boston has stopped due to material difficulties. Its long-time editor Sonda has been left without means of subsistence, he lives like a beggar.

NOTE: Juozas Petkevičius was the chairman of the Lithuanian KGB from 1967 to 1987. Vytautas Stalauskas was the chief of the 2nd Section of the 5th Service of the Lithuanian KGB from 1979 to 1982. The newspaper “Keleivis” [The Passenger] began its publication in 1905 and went defunct in 1980.
